About Kemælli's

Kemælli’s is a relaxed and welcoming space in the heart of the South Downs National Park (Midhurst), serving great food, drinks, and hospitality. What began as a café has grown into a local restaurant, now offering dinner three evenings a week (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) alongside our daytime menu.

We serve homemade dishes using quality ingredients, with options for all diets — including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. During the day, you’ll find pastries, sandwiches, and hearty meals, and in the evenings, a menu of comforting, seasonal dishes with a good choice of wines, beers and soft drinks.

Our shelves feature products from local producers, and our walls showcase work from local artists — a small way to celebrate the creativity in our community. We’re proudly dog-friendly at Kemælli’s, and we love welcoming four-legged visitors just as much as their humans. You might even meet Daisy, our resident café dog, who’s always happy to say hello and enjoys a bit of fuss — when her humans are nearby.

Whether you’re dropping in for coffee, lunch, or dinner with friends, Kemælli’s is a place to eat well and feel at home.

Community Support

We have decorated the café/restaurant with local artists work to ensure we are creating a sense of community for those that visit. The works can be bought from the individual artists and we can provide contact details for any that pique your interest.
